AASC has donated $1.00 from each Fall 2009 Leadership/Spirit Conference Registration to the AASC Charity: Save the Family.
At the 2010 AASC State Convention, the following changes to the AASC State Charity will occur:
In an effort to better coordinate resources and to better assist the charitable organizations that AASC donates to, Member Schools will vote upon three choices to be the AASC Charity for the next three years.The organizations placed on the ballot were selected by the AASC Executive Board and shall be the AASC designated charity until 2013, where another set of charitable organizations will again be placed on the ballot for AASC Member Schools to designate as the AASC State Charity. The charitable organizations on this year's ballot are as follows:
The Save the Family Foundation of Arizona helps children in homeless families by treating the whole family
with programs to break the negative cycles of poverty, abuse, and homelessness. They strengthen the Valley's communities by facilitating the transition of families to financial and emotional self-sufficiency.
PROJECT C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief & Equipment) was founded in 1987 to help meet the need for medical supplies, equipment and services around the world. It builds sustainable healthcare infrastructure by providing the medical supplies and equipment that medical personnel need to deliver healthcare to their communities. Since its inception, PROJECT C.U.R.E. has delivered medical relief to needy people in more than 120 countries.
Packages From Home sends care and comfort packages to deployed American military heroes who are stationed in active duty theaters around the world, as well as facilitating activities that elevate morale of all veterans. Since March, 2005, they have averaged 1,000 to 1,500 packages a month being shipped to our heroes.

The 2008-2009 State Charity was the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern Arizona. AASC schools raised $850 for this organization!
The 2007-2008 State Charity was the National Meningitis Association (Arizona Division). Contributions through AASC Charity Balls totaled $1,200!
The 2006-2007 State Charity was the Arizona Foundation for Burns & Trauma - Camp Courage summer camp for burn victim children. AASC schools contributed $3,500!
The 2005-2006 State Charity was Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research (SSBTR). AASC schools contributed $4,200!
